Saturday September 6, 2008 - Operation Patriot's  "Let's Roll!"

WOW - Ton's going on! 8th Annual Tribute ride for first responders - "Let's Roll!" is the first and longest running ride paying tribute to Firefighters, Law Enforcement, Emergency Responders, and our Nation's Active and Veteran Military Forces. This is a parade-style 80-mile ride ESCORTED by The Patriot Guard Riders, Monroe County Sheriff Patrick O'Flynn, the NY State Police, the US Army, US Marines, US Air Force, fire departments and a number of town and county police departments.

Registration begins at 9am at our "Home Base" - Ontario Beach Park - Port of Rochester. Ride begins at 11am - $15 rider (includes FREE T-Shirt for first 500 registrants) $10 passenger (Sorry no shirt).

Following the ride we will have our ceremony honoring first responders, a pig roast, clam bake, a US Army Chinook Fly-Over, several displays and demonstrations, a kids area, great food, cold brews and Live entertainment from Jeff Cosco, Johnny Smoke, Uncle Plum and some special surprises.

Sunday September 7, 2008 - Children’s Classic Car & Motorcycle Run 

Sunday Sept 7th, 2008, the Society for the Protection & Care of Children will be hosting the 2nd annual Poker Run & ride through the Finger Lakes.  Proceeds go towards stopping child abuse and neglect.  Registration at the Log Cabin Restaurant located at 2445 W. Walworth Road (Route 31F) in Macedon, NY from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  A Barbeque picnic at the Log Cabin will immediately follow the run at 3:00pm.  Classic Car owners, bikers and non-riders are encouraged to join us for great music, food, fun and prizes while helping to keep children safe.

September 11-14, 2008 - Catskill Mountain Thunder

- The Handel Family welcomes you to come and celebrate the 11th Anniversary of Catskill Mountain Thunder. This is a motorcycle festival like no other. It is held at a beautiful resort nestled in the Northern Catskill Mountains. In addition to lodging accommodations on site, there are also RV and tent camping with electric and water available. There are also many other establishments in the immediate area that offer lodging as well.

We feature a huge vendor expo, rodeo games such as weenie bite, slow race, potato-in-a haystack, one-legged boot race, etc., seminars on antique bike restoration, bike shows, etc.

Unlike other events, Sunday is a fun-filled day of events with thousands of dollars given out in prizes, rodeo games all day, a spectacular pig roast with a large variety of food and FREE beer.

Hundreds of riders from all walks of life, riding all types of motorcycles, are getting together for the 2nd Annual Ride the United Way motorcycle Poker Run.  This year's ride will take you on a scenic ride of 150 kms throughout Hamilton, Flamboro and Burlington.  The cost will be $25/riders and $15/passenger with 100% of the proceeds going to the United Way.

- The Southern Tier Kidney Association is sponsoring a motorcycle poker run on Sunday, September 21, 2008 to help raise money to support individuals undergoing dialysis treatment in Southern Chautauqua County. 

 

Registration will take place from 11-12pm at the Renaissance Christmas Farm in Kennedy with "take off" at noon sharp.  Route: Christmas Farm - Jeremy's Bel View - Horseshoe Inn - Sluga's (used to be Harvey's) - back to the Christmas Farm.

- Event sponsored By ABATE of New York, Orleans County Chapter. Run to benefit Orleans Community Action. The Toy Run will assemble at 11AM in the old Ames Parking Lot, 11181 Maple Ridge Rd. Sunday September 21, 2008 - AMVETS Riders Club Parade at Silver Creek Grape Festival

- The Festival of Grapes features a ride midway, food vendors, wine tent, children's and adult events, live music, craft fair, grape stomping and a grand parade with motorcycles.  From NYS Interstate 90, exit 58, proceed west on Routes 5 & 20 to the Village of Silver Creek.  Meeting at Silver Creek Napa Store Main St. no later than 11:00 am to join in on the parade.

The AMVETSs Riders Club is a 100% charitable Veterans organization and is governed by the AMVETS National Committee. The AMVETS Riders not only donate all their time to raise monies for various Veterans Organizations but they also contribute to the local charitable groups within the community. This idea to raise money and have fun doing so was well received that the membership keeps growing. The meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month. - Starting at the Delevan Training Center, 1006 Route 16, Delevan, NY, this dice run will help establish a new chapter and assist local families in need. - New York's Finest and the American Legion Post 1600 invite you to join us and support our disabled veterans at our second annual Bike Run/Barbeque to benefit Disabled American Veterans. 

Our venue ($20 donation) consists of a poker run in the morning followed by a barbeque (12- 6 PM) with live music, door prizes,kids activities , vendors and raffles. All are welcome.
